Single Use Cleco's

Marcus (UTEE 94) used that line and I liked it so much I stole it! I really hope he updates his blog someday. Lots of us really miss him. I think the PO's of this Safari owned stock with the Olympic Company, or at least should have after these repairs.
This is the patch over the area where the tv antenna was. 21 olympic rivets to cover a 1 inch hole!!

As I pulled down the interior skin I started to find a few leaks.

It was raining at the time.

After taking a close look outside, I saw some things I should have noticed sooner, not that it would have made a difference. It was love (lust) at first sight.

Rivets should not have belly buttons.

They should not have pupils either.

Some times the most comfortable place is right on top of the air hose for the drill. Anything we can do to be in the way!

Just a few more shots of Olympics before I go to bed.
Most of the Oly"s are in the horizontal ribs but there are some in the vertical's as well.
More to follow.
Good night my friends.

"... a fine and excepted way of doing a panel replacement..."Inland Andy. You feel good about it right? Thank you John for proving me right about those damn olympic rivets. I can clearly see where water has made it's way in, in every one of those photos. Sorry you have found extra work, but like I said in an earlier post, you will know you did it right. I love your blog and it continues to be at the top of my list, Thank you.

Since you have to wonder what you got in to (refurb the '66), I have to wonder what I have gotten in to (refurb the '64). Please keep up the good work, and stay ahead of me, as I think it will help ;-)

Frank, at the risk of sounding catty, I bet he has a tattoo on his ass that says "Your axles are shot"!
Its a shame because the guy really has a lot of knowledge but a piss poor attitude!

Crowldwag, Frank or Aerowood know much more about these than I do. I just know it should be a #3 impact gun. I think that has something to do with the barrel length and how hard it hits.

I miss my blog too, my friend. But I'm delighted with yours-- thanks so much for keeping us up-to-date.

The heavy hitting on mine will begin in earnest in about 2 weeks, so have patience.

And you are more than welcome to use my 1-liners. :)
